5k run/walk benefiting children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa
The Leg it for Life 5K is run on the official East Lansing High School cross country course at the East Lansing Soccer Complex. The race starts and finishes alongside of the soccer fields, and a large portion of the race is run through the woods on carefully groomed trails.
Each mile is clearly marked and splits are provided at the first and second miles. A water station is available at two points along the course.
Post-race refreshments are provided in the pavillion. Refreshments at previous races have included apples, orange slices, bananas, blueberries, bagels, muffins, whole-grain bread, donuts, juice, iced tea, and water.
The pavillion also houses bathrooms and drinking fountains.
Parking is available at the East Lansing Soccer Complex within easy walking distance to both registration and the start/finish line.
